The race started at its usual blistering pace, with both the intermediate sprints and the primes being fiercely contested. Alex was tasked with policing any potential attacks.

After the third sprint, a single rider broke clear. Anderl recognized the opportunity and bridged across to join him, while Alex and Chris immediately moved to the front of the peloton to disrupt the chase. This established a two-man breakaway, and the gap began to grow steadily. Anderl held his own against his breakaway companion in the following sprints, taking a lead with 19 points, while his rival sat close behind with 14. Throughout the move, a five-man chasing group stayed on their heels, but Alex kept them well under control. Meanwhile, Chris was able to save his legs back in the bunch. Then it happened: the chasers lost momentum and were absorbed by the pack. As the peloton’s pace dropped, Anderl kept the hammer down in the lead group—eventually lapping the field.

To keep the pressure on, Chris immediately went on the offensive, slipping away with a three-man group that maintained a 30-second gap until the finish. This allowed Chris to scoop up significant points in the final three sprints and work his way up to 5th place. Anderl rolled across the line as the undisputed winner, while Alex finished 15th with the bunch after putting in a massive shift as a domestique.

With this performance, the CSBikes Road Team didn't just secure the victory in Minfeld; all participating riders also successfully qualified for the German National Criterium Championships in Kempten.
