Incredible racing in Neuötting on June 2, 2024!

P2 for Martin, P3 for Basti, and P9 for Flo—we’ll take that! 🤝 The course was perfectly suited for a breakaway with a real chance of going the distance. Martin read the race early on and played it cool until the first prime (Lap 5). He stayed visible at the front of the pack without fully committing to the sprint, and then, just 15 seconds later, he launched a massive attack right into the climb. By the top of the "mountain" (a 20-meter elevation gain), Martin had opened a small solo gap, but he didn't want to go it alone and waited to see who would bridge across. His instinct was right—the chase followed, and Martin kept the pressure on to ensure a five-man break stayed clear. In a brilliant tactical move, Basti managed to jump across and join the group as well! 😁🤝

The breakaway worked well together and successfully stayed away until the finish. The pace was red-hot in the final lap, and everything looked perfect right up until the last two corners. Unfortunately, the home straight was very short; Martin entered the final turn in second place, but he mistimed his move slightly and couldn't find a way past the eventual winner.

Still, P2 and P3 on the podium! We’ll definitely take that. 🙌
