First Moosach Crit a Massive Success – German Champion Dario Rapps Takes the Win! 🚴‍♂️🔥

12.07.2025 - What a day in Moosach! The inaugural Moosach Crit was absolute fire—both on the course and on the sidelines! The atmosphere was electric, the crowds were buzzing, and for one day, Moosach was transformed into a true cycling mecca.

Reigning German Champion Dario Rapps put on a masterclass, showing exactly why he wears the jersey—and securing a historic first-ever victory at the Moosacher Crit! 🎉🎊

In a nail-biting race through our hometown streets, Dario powered through a world-class field. It remained anyone's game until the final sprint: he and Michi Gassner went head-to-head in a thrilling duel. While Gassner’s 54x11 squad initially dominated, the RSC Kempten Elite Team —led by Rapps—surged back, racking up points despite a crash and a snapped frame. What an incredible comeback! 💪

Third place on the podium was snatched by Daniel Schrag, who executed a tactical masterpiece in the final sprint to fight his way onto the steps.

Our CS team rider Martin Gluth put in an incredibly consistent and powerful performance, only to be edged out of the top three in the final points lap, finishing in 5th. Regardless: a class act in an extremely competitive field—Chapeau, Martin! 🙌🏻

Strong Women and Rising Stars The women’s race, held alongside the U23 category, was every bit as thrilling. Pia Kummer dominated the field with a commanding performance to take the win ahead of Sarah Kastenhuber and Franziska Brunner.

In the U23 classification, Lena Gömmel triumphed, followed by Laura Kastenhuber and Daria Ladig—a fantastic race filled with impressive displays of strength! 👏

In the U17 Youth category, Maximilian Pape rode a tactical masterclass, securing victory with a powerful final sprint. Daniel Heinlein and Lars Heinrich rounded out the podium. 🚴‍♂️💨

Another Highlight: The Fat Tire Race! While the pros battled for points, the little ones stole the show: a record-breaking 80 children lined up for the Fat Tire Race—setting a new all-time record for Germany! 👏 The energy was incredible, both on the course and among the proud parents and fans on the sidelines.
