CSBIKES Road Team Secures 3rd Place at the First Munich Thursday Crit!

Last Thursday, May 16, 2024, the first Munich Thursday Criterium of the season took place, and the CSBikes Road Team secured an impressive third-place finish! The race kicked off at 6:00 PM, drawing 120 cyclists from across Bavaria for a thrilling 30 laps on a 1.3 km circuit.

In a highly controlled peloton featuring many strong teams and riders, our rider Sebastian Wagner managed to break away in the final three laps with a brilliant late attack. Maintaining a blistering average speed of 48 km/h over 45 minutes, he secured third place overall. The entire CSBikes Road Team was on top form, working seamlessly to protect Basti’s lead and keep the chasing pack at bay. Our rider Martin Gluth narrowly missed the podium, finishing fourth—further highlighting the team's dominant performance.

TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK

This phrase was proven once again as our teammates neutralized the chase, ensuring the pack had no chance of closing the gap on Basti. Martin Gluth missed the podium by the narrowest of margins, taking a strong fourth place.

But this was just the beginning! Three more races are still to come:

The grand finale of the Munich Thursday Criterium series will take place on Saturday, July 27, 2024. The starting pistol for the "Hobby" (amateur) race fires at 1:00 PM (Check-in from 12:15 PM).

Our goal for the upcoming races is clear: climb at least one more step up the podium!
